Do you have a tractor?
We did it we bought a tractor to help around our little homestead. I will tell you I really know very little about tractors but I do know that it will be helpful to us. It is a “new to us” tractor with all the fun equipment that comes with it. The goal would be that we no longer have to higher our someone to come and till our garden. We are hoping to be able to harvest our many rows of potatoes without the need to hand dig them.
For now, the tractor works but it needs some TLC. My husband ended up taking most of the engine apart. He is cleaning and fixing what needs to be fixed so hopefully we can use it this fall.
Along with getting a tractor is getting all the attachments that go with it! They are scattered all over the backyard for now, until they find their final storage home. When I look out my back window I see them and it makes me feel like we are on a farm out in the country. Even though we are technically in village limits. It does not feel that way many days with a church on each side of our property and the school across the street from us. We have very few true neighbors to speak of. I’m okay with that, it’s the perfect combination for us. In a town so the kids can run and play with friends close by but land that we can enjoy and build our dream life together.
Kids Tractors
Since Dad has his tractor you better believe that the kids think they need a tractor of their own to use in the dirt pile. They will have to settle for ones much smaller than their dad’s though!
