We were gifted with a bunch of hostas from my parents. They redid some landscaping and needed to transplant several plants. We were lucky enough to get several of them! Hostas I have learned are so resilient. We have been rather busy with other things so they have been sitting in these boxes for 2 weeks but are still looking pretty good. Hopefully, the heat over the next few days won’t make it a struggle.

We are making plans of where to place all of them. We have several places where the hostas when doing very well.

When we bought this home there were very established plants and landscaping. Since of it over grown and some just need a little TLC. We have been slowly working to bring it back up to its glory days.

Tools

What are some of your favorite tools to use when working on yard work? I have a little garden bag that I try and keep my basic items in. The kids seem to sneak some of their garden tools into my bag when helping.

I love that they are learning how to care for plants and find the beauty in them.

They have a new home behind our garage! We plan on splitting them at a later date once we have figured out what your front yard landscaping will look like but that all takes time. We also want to make sure we use landscaping fabric to help keep the weeds away. That was something at our old home we didn’t do in all of our flower beds and it was hard to keep up with the weeds. For now, they need a little love after being boxes for a few weeks!

Faith

My hostas do not look so great right now but they will recover and they will look healthy once again. God is good all the time even when we are struggling, that is the time to dig deep and lean on your faith. Just like these hostas will sink their roots in the earth for nutrients we need to sink our minds in his word for the nutrients our souls need.
